This year's Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG) 2010 Annual Conference will be held at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA, USA.  BCO-DMO will be represented by Dicky Allison, Bob Groman and Nancy Copley.  

The TDWG community's priority is the deployment of Life Science Identifiers (LSID), the preferred Globally Unique Identifier technology and transitioning to RDF encoded metadata as defined by a set of simple vocabularies.  In 2006 the group's name was changed from the Taxonomic Database Working Group (TDWG) to Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG).
